New : West Ham’s frightening transfer update from Jacob Steinberg as the summer transfer window devolves into farce

West Ham transfer update: Michail Antonio is being targeted by Saudi Arabian side, and he is open to leaving this

summer.

Worse for West Ham though, Michail Antonio is not the only player open to leaving the London Stadium this

summer, according to The Guardian journalist Jacob Steinberg.

Hammers boss David Moyes has already lost Declan Rice, Manuel Lanzini and a plethora of talented youngsters in

the summer transfer window.

And the Scot is still yet to make an addition to his first-team squad, whilst pretty much every single Premier League

team in and around us have considerably strengthened already.

Even if we do make three or four top-class signings, they won’t have a full pre-season with West Ham, and because of that, there’s a danger that we could make a slow start yet again.

And even worse than that, it seems as though there are still more exits pending at the London Stadium…

Jacob Steinberg’s worrying West Ham transfer update as summer

window descends into farce

In all fairness, not one Hammers fan would begrudge Antonio the chance to finish career in Saudi on a huge salary.

However, Jacob Steinberg claiming that the 33-year-old isn’t the only player entering the final year of his contract

who wants to leave is a real concern.

Vladimir Coufal, Tomas Soucek, Ben Johnson, Conor Coventry, Angelo Ogbonna and Lukas Fabianski all have one

year remaining on their current deals at the London Stadium.

West Ham are painfully thin on the ground as it is as far as numbers are concerned, so the transfer update from

Steinberg is a big concern in my opinion.

Moyes needs to make four or five top-class signings, and keep every other current player at the club, if we are to

compete on all fronts next season.

However, it seems as though that might not be the case this summer.
