Napoli have made a bid for Spanish starlet Gabri Veiga believed to be worth £25.9million.
The midfielder has been linked with Liverpool this summer as Jurgen Klopp‘s side bid to improve their midfield, but Napoli have made him their prime target.
His release clause is set at £34.5million, but the Italian side are keen to try and get him for cheaper, however face a task to convince Celta Vigo to budge.
The 21-year-old has made 55 appearances in Spain since breaking into his side’s first team, netting 11 goals in the process.
According to Fabrizio Romano, however, Celta Vigo have rejected the offer, but negotiations over a potential deal will continue.
