DONE DEAL: Liverpool prepared bid of $64M-rated Premier League talent following $76.4M for 22 year old goal machine.

midfielder to their squad for the 2023/24 campaign.

Liverpool is taking the summer transfer market seriously!

The Reds are striving for a revamp this summer after neglecting their midfield for far too long; two midfielders have already

been signed. While a deal for Dominik Szoboszlai has just been finalised following the activation of his $76.4M release

clause, Alexis Mac Allister was drafted from Brighton.

The Merseyside giants are not finished yet, though. TalkSPORT reports that Klopp’s team is interested in signing another

midfielder, and this time it’s a highly regarded Premier League player.

Romeo Lavia, the star for Southampton who had a breakout campaign despite the team’s relegation, is exactly who it is. The

Belgian star, who is only 19 years old, put on a few impressive performances and is already attracting notice from the

country’s biggest clubs.

The teenager is not just wanted by Liverpool, but also by Manchester United and Arsenal, two other Premier League

powerhouses in need of midfield reinforcements. While the Red Devils and the Gunners are busy with other matters, the

Reds aim to submit an early bid and outbid both parties for Lavia’s signature.

Although Liverpool has already passed Chelsea in the race for the player, the player is also on Chelsea’s list. The midfielder is

valued at £50M by Southampton, but it is unclear if the Merseyside giants will match that sum.

Although Man City has a buy-back option, it won’t take effect until the summer of 2019 since Lavia left the club in search of

consistent playing time. The Premier League champions do, however, have a sell-on clause that entitled them to 10% of

Lavia’s transfer fee, which, if Southampton’s assessment of £50M is satisfied, would equal £10M.

Thiago transfer latest: Liverpool face tough decision as interest grows

This Is Anfield is aware of rumors that various teams are keeping an eye on Thiago, even though they are aware that the

Reds have not yet received any proposals this summer.

The 32-year-old has been closely associated with a number of Turkish powerhouses, including Fenerbahce, although a

return to Barcelona has also been suggested.

Liverpool would be content to let their No. 6 finish the final 12 months of his contract, but if interest in him becomes more

serious, a difficult choice will need to be taken.

Dominik Szoboszlai arrived from RB Leipzig over the weekend after a €70 million release clause in his contract was

activated, advancing Jurgen Klopp’s midfield overhaul.

The Hungarian joins Alexis Mac Allister in bolstering a part of the pitch that was considered the Reds’ biggest weakness last

term.

Further additions in that area are also being targeted, with Liverpool currently weighing up their options before continuing

their business.

Romeo Lavia of Southampton is on the club’s short list, and earlier in the window, Khephren Thuram’s agents from Nice

were also contacted.

The availability of playing time for Thiago, who was limited to just 14 Premier League starts last season owing to injuries, is

likely to be affected by any further midfield acquisitions.

Therefore, leaving Anfield may ultimately turn out to be the best option for all parties, albeit action in that direction is

unlikely to happen soon.
