BREAKING NEWS: Burnley open talks to sign 20 year old starlet from Man City.

According to information cited by Football Insider, Burnley and the 20-year-old star of Man City have begun negotiations.

Due to his links with City, Vincent Kompany is a huge fan of the goalie, 20, and on May 13 he saw him in action for loan club Bolton during their playoff semi-final match against Barnsley.

According to people familiar with the matter, the Clarets manager thinks Trafford would be a great addition to his team as they prepare to play in the Premier League again next year.

Trafford, who is valued at about £20 million, is being pursued by Burnley in a permanent deal.

While playing for Bolton last season, the teenager was one of League One’s top goalkeepers and contributed to their EFL Trophy victory.

Although Trafford is valued at £20 million, it’s thought that £15 million could be sufficient to close a transaction.

While on loan with the League One team, Bolton, the shot-stopper played in 52 matches, starting every single one of them.

This season, Trafford held 26 clean sheets and only allowed 38 goals in all competitions.

Arijanet Muric, a fellow former City player who arrived from the Etihad last summer on a four-year deal after spending the majority of his City career on loan, is Burnley’s current option in goal.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Turf Moor’s backup goalkeeper, made 16 appearances for Kompany’s team this season and is entering the final year of his contract.

Burnely will host his former team at Turf Moor for their season opener as they try to bolster their squad this summer as manager Kompany gets ready for his first managerial attempt in the Premier League.

Burnley considering transfer swoop for influential Millwall man

Burnley is interested in Zian Flemming of Millwall.

Zian Flemming, who is he?

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder, who has double digit goals in each of the previous two Eredivisie seasons, only recently transferred from Fortuna Sittard to the Lions.

Flemming set a club record when he was acquired by Millwall for £1.7 million, but he lived up to the hype by scoring 15 goals in the Championship last season.

In addition to his effective goal-scoring record, he also made an impression with his all-around performance, yet it wasn’t enough to enable the Londoners go to the play-offs because they lost on a thrilling last day.

However, it appears that these performances have attracted attention, as Football Insider has reported that Burnley is keeping an eye on Flemming as they get ready to return to the Premier League.

According to reports, Vincent Kompany is a great supporter of the Dutchman and thinks he would be able to handle the promotion.

Burnley may or may not formally express their interest by making a formal offer, but Millwall is unlikely to sell given their aspirations to compete for a top-six finish the next year.

Gary Rowett, the manager, has already been active in the window with Kevin Nisbet signing from Hibernian.
