Declan Rice, a defensive midfielder for West Ham, believed to be a target for departure for Bayern Munich.
The Bavarians may feel like this pursuit is a lost cause given Arsenal FC’s significant lead in the race (at least in the view of many observers), according to The Mirror:
After it was revealed that Bayern Munich is now worried about their chances of landing Declan Rice, Arsenal widened their lead in the hunt for his services.
According to owner David Sullivan, Rice, 24, has played his final ever match for West Ham after captaining the Irons to a historic victory over Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final on Wednesday. The England international now hopes to represent
a team competing in the Champions League, like Bayern and Arsenal.
The interest between the two parties has been well-documented lately, with Rice and his father even having recent negotiations with German powerhouse Bayern about a potential £95 million transfer. But according to Mirror Football, Rice would prefer to stay in the Premier League, which gives Arsenal a big advantage.
