Country-pop singer Kacey Musgraves has postponed her upcoming Nashville performance after revealing she broke a rib during a recent accident. The star shared the news on social media just days before her highly anticipated appearance at Ryman Auditorium.
As unfortunate as the injury is, Musgraves reassured fans that her recovery is already underway. She added that she’s disappointed but eager to return once healed.
How the Injury Happened
According to her statement, the incident occurred while she was vacationing in Mexico. While details are limited, Kacey explained that the accident was sudden and painful. She emphasized that rib injuries are more serious than many realize.
Importantly, she reminded fans not to underestimate rib damage, stating, “This s–t is no joke.” Her transparency was met with sympathy and encouragement from followers worldwide.
Concert Rescheduled, Not Canceled
Although the news was a blow to fans, there’s some good news. The concert originally scheduled for June 22 has already been rescheduled to September 18, 2025. This show is part of a special event organized by Sing for Science, spotlighting the intersection of music and science.
Moreover, organizers confirmed that all original tickets will remain valid for the new date. Refunds are also available for those unable to attend the rescheduled performance.
