After Manchester City won the UEFA Champions League, some Arsenal supporters expressed their ire on social media at defender Oleksandr Zinchenko.

By defeating Inter Milan 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday, Manchester City became the sixth English team to win the title.

After winning the Premier League last month and the FA Cup last week after defeating local rivals Manchester United 2-1 in the Wembley championship game, Rodri’s goal in the second half gave the Citizens a historic treble.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, an Arsenal player, praised Pep Guardiola’s Champions League victory last night in Istanbul, the first in 12 years.

Before joining the Gunners last summer, Zinchenko spent six years at the Etihad Stadium. The 26-year-old took to social media to show his support for his former team. The international from Ukraine retweeted City’s Instagram post about them winning the European championship.

adding the clapping hands emoji to support his former team.

However, some Arsenal supporters weren’t too pleased, criticizing the left-back’s choice given that Mikel Arteta’s team was in a close race with City for the Premier League championship this season and ultimately finished five points behind Guardiola and company. Following Zinchenko’s post, a select few of his admirers tweeted the following.
