WEST BROM AND LEEDS UNITED BLOW HOT AS £2M “MONSTER” BARGAIN TARGET’S DREAM CLUB- REPORT

Spanish newspaper Marca claim FC Midtjylland striker Sory Kaba wants to join La Liga side Las Palmas this summer, in a blow to Leeds United,

West Brom, Cardiff, Watford and other Championship clubs said to be interested in him.

Kaba, 28, caught the eye last season when the Guinea star was loaned to Cardiff in January. He scored a wonderful eight goals in 17 games for Cardiff,

playing a key role in keeping the Bluebirds in the Championship. Finishing, 21st.

He has returned to Midtjylland where he is playing an important role, even scoring in a Europa Conference League qualifier. But he has 12 months

left on his deal. Spanish site UD Las Palmas.Net first said that Leeds were looking.

But so were Cardiff and Watford. The Express & Star said Carlos Corberan’s West Brom were keen. The latest news came from The Telegraph’s Mike

McGrath. He said Watford are on pole, ahead of multiple sides for the £2m star.

However, a new update comes from Spain. Marca state that Las Palmas – newly promoted back to Spain’s top tier – remain in talks with Midtjylland.

They are confident of getting a deal done – as Kaba’s dream is to play in La Liga.

Leeds still need a striker this summer. Georginio Rutter, Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph all suffered injuries last week and it meant Leeds had

just Joe Gelhardt to call on. Bamford cannot be relied upon and Joseph is unproven.

Gelhardt is better as more of a 10, or playing off a nine. So, Leeds need a centre-forward before the summer is out and at £2m, Kaba would have been

a bargain addition. A proven Championship goalscorer, in a side that ended 21st.

But, it seems like he wants to move to Spain’s top tier. Las Palmas are calling and while the English clubs are said to be offering more money – you

can hardly blame him for wanting to play in the top-tier, instead of the Championship.
