UPDATE NEWS: VICTOR OSIMHEN SENDS CLEAR TRANSFER MESSAGE TO LIVERPOOL THAT HE WILL…

Liverpool have decisively moved to sign £174million star

Liverpool are after Victor Osimhen, who has not been able to agree a new deal with Italian champions, Napoli, as yet.

According to Calcio Mercato, the Nigerian international earns around 4.5 million euros per season and is looking for a new contract that will double the salary to 9 million euros per season.

£96million star would be ready to agree Liverpool move – Pundit

Osimhen was the leading goal scorer in the Serie A as the Naples based side ended more than three decade long title drought last season.

He surely deserves a bumper pay rise but CM claim the difference between what he wants and the club is prepared to offer is a big one.

On the other hand, Napoli president, Aurelio de Laurentiis wants a release clause of £174million (200 million euros) in the new deal.

The 24-year-old netted 31 goals in all competitions in the last campaign. At the moment, he is out with a hamstring injury and has missed the last four games.

The media outlet have mentioned that Liverpool have decisively moved with multiple direct contacts to sign Osimhen, who is also on the radar of Chelsea.

The question is, do the Merseysiders need to secure his signing?

Yesterday, Jurgen Klopp’s front three Jota, Salah and Nunez were all on the scoresheet as the Reds defeated Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

On the other hand, Dutch international, Cody Gakpo came on from the bench to find the net only to see his strike ruled out for offside. Luis Diaz, who has been in brilliant form, was unavailable.

So, in all honesty, Liverpool really do not need to improve their attack at the moment, especially the CF/False No.9 position.

Instead, after improving the midfield in the summer, the Anfield club must focus on strengthening the backline. What do you think?

Liverpool Target Hints On A Winter Transfer: What Will He Bring To Anfield?

According to a report from Liverpool Echo, Andre Trindade has acknowledged the possibility of future developments regarding his career once Fluminense’s Copa Libertadores campaign concludes next week.

The 22-year-old defensive midfielder had declined a transfer opportunity to an undisclosed club during the summer.

However, he has now indicated his willingness to consider a winter transfer, with Liverpool still being a part of the discussions.

Andre’s Meteoric Rise In Brazilian Football

Andre’s journey at the Brazilian club has been nothing short of remarkable, having risen through their youth ranks to firmly establish himself in their senior team.

At just 22 years old, he has already amassed an impressive 158 appearances for Fluminense, contributing with four goals and three assists across various competitions.

Hailing from Algodao, this young talent has garnered attention by consistently delivering 2.1 tackles, 1.2 interceptions, 0.7 clearances, 0.8 key passes, and 1.5 successful dribbles per game in the Brasileirao.

His proficiency in midfield is evident through a remarkable 94.8% pass completion rate in the Brazilian top-flight (statistics provided by whoscored).

His existing contract with Fluminense is set to expire at the conclusion of 2026. Consequently, the Merseyside club will need to put forth an enticing proposal if they intend to secure his services during the January transfer window.

What Will He Add To The Midfield Department At Liverpool?

Andre possesses a strong affinity for tackling, often making timely interceptions in the heart of the midfield. He’s unafraid to clear the ball when the opposition is on the attack, and he also exhibits proficient dribbling skills.

The addition of Andre is poised to elevate the quality and depth of Jurgen Klopp’s match-day squad at Liverpool. With each passing season, he has the potential to evolve into a future star at Anfield.

At the age of 22, Andre’s potential is considerable, making him an attractive option for the Reds as they consider their options for the January transfer window. Under Klopp’s guidance, there’s an opportunity for the Brazilian talent to flourish over the long term.

Nonetheless, the question remains whether Andre can adapt to the physical demands and high-intensity style of Premier League football, should Liverpool successfully secure his services this winter.
