Unbelievable: Darwin Nunez’s bond with Mo Salah reaches new heights – Liverpool’s record is broken and extended

Darwin Nunez has made nine assists in his Liverpool career, all of which have gone to one player: Mohamed Salah.

It is a level of exclusivity that reflects the bond the two have formed, not only on the pitch but also off it.

The Uruguayan has only had eyes for Salah in games against Everton, Tottenham, Manchester City, and Brighton, and his run of assists is a club record.

Nunez has nine assists for Salah in his Reds career, which is the longest run by a Liverpool player to the same teammate in all competitions during the Premier League era.

Nunez extended his run against Brentford, and only Kevin Campbell has a better record in the Premier League for the most first assists to the same player (10 for Ian Wright).

Nunez has set up seven goals for Salah in the league since his arrival last season, with the current season being his most productive With five assists, he has already signaled a greater return.

The pair have been among Liverpool’s best performers in the first 18 games, and according to Opta, they have created the most chances (19) between them in the Premier League this season.

It should come as no surprise that the two get along well on the field, with Salah making sure Nunez was at ease in his surroundings when he first arrived, despite the fact that they don’t speak the same language.

“It was extremely difficult to adjust to the team at first.” But as time passed, they made me feel more at ease, and I had a conversation with Salah that helped me a lot,” Nunez said in August of last year.

Nunez has played 53 times with Salah at Liverpool, the most of any of his teammates, and they have a combined goal contribution of 11 in that time.
