UNBELIEVABLE: ARSENAL’S BOSS ARTETA REACTS TO WHAT £220K-A-WEEK LIVERPOOL STAR HAS JUST DONE ON TITLE RACE DUE TO…

Virgil van Dijk, a center back for Liverpool, is renowned for his cool defense; yesterday night, he showed off his composure by converting a last-second penalty for Holland.

Virgil van Dijk, the captain of Liverpool, converted the penalty kick to give his team a much-needed three points in their bid to advance to Euro 2024, and the Netherlands won 1-0 in Greece.

After the game, Virgil van Dijk took to Instagram to state that his side have ‘put ourselves in the driving seat’.

The £220,000-a-week Liverpool player (Spotrac) is correct since the three points allowed the Dutch to pass Greece and go into second position in Group B.

But Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber only had one word to say in response to Virgil van Dijk’s Instagram post: “big.”

Due to an ACL injury he sustained in the first week of the Premier League season, the former Ajax star must watch his nation’s efforts to qualify for Euro 2024 from afar, but he will be hoping he may perhaps return in time and secure his golden ticket to Germany next summer.

Fostering Van Dijk
Van Dijk’s season has had a mixed start; he contributed to Brighton’s first goal last week, just as he did against Bournemouth earlier in the year.

In addition, he received a second yellow card against Newcastle United in that historic comeback at St. James’ Park, making one club veteran fear that he will never regain his previous form.

In either case, Liverpool supporters will be hoping that this has given their captain the much-needed push he needs to succeed on the Premier League stage.
