UNBELIEVABLE: £200,000-A-WEEK ARSENAL PLAYER WHO SCORED AGAINST CHELSEA GAME HAS THREATENED TO LEAVE JANUARY DUE TO…

£200,000-A-WEEK ARSENAL PLAYER FRUSTRATED MIKEL ARTETA DID NOT PICK HIM V CHELSEA

Thomas Partey was one of the Arsenal players Mikel Arteta’s team faced up against Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in London.

This past weekend, Arsenal and Chelsea drew 2-2 in the Premier League.

Thomas Partey was fit and available for the London derby.

But, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta did not include Partey in the starting lineup.

The £200,000-a-week (Spotrac) Ghana international defensive midfielder did not even come as a substitute.

I have to note that he played for Ghana last week leading up to the match against Chelsea.

Thomas Partey frustrated with Arsenal snub vs Chelsea

According to 90min, Partey is frustrated at Arteta’s decision to ignore him for the London derby.

The report has claimed that the defensive midfielder is “frustrated with his reduced role at Arsenal” and will consider leaving Arsenal in the January transfer window.

Although Partey is willing to fight for his place in the Arsenal starting lineup, he will really consider leaving the Gunners when the window opens in January.

The Arsenal no. 5 has made three starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League so far this season.

Arsenal should not sell Thomas Partey in January 2024

I do not think that Arsenal should sell Thomas Partey in the middle of the season.

If Arsenal do have to offload Partey eventually, then they should wait until the end of the season.

Yes, the 30-year-old is not part of the regular starting lineup at the moment, but things could change.

Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners will also hope to play in the knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League.

So, Mikel Arteta needs to keep hold of his experienced players.

Partey has done well for Arsenal and has a wealth of experience.

Mikel Arteta confirms he has promoted 22-year-old to Arsenal’s leadership group

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Bukayo Saka is now a part of the club’s leadership group.

The Gunners have Martin Odegaard as the club captain, but he’s not the only one behind the scenes.

Arsenal have had a leadership group consisting of three or more players for a few years, and it now looks like Saka is a part of that.

Mikel Arteta says Bukayo Saka is in Arsenal’s leadership group now

Arsenal have had to deal with quite a few changes in their leadership group this summer.

At the start of last season, it was revealed that Odegaard would be supported by Granit Xhaka and Gabriel Jesus behind the scenes, while Rob Holding was also viewed as a leader.

Both Xhaka and Holding left the club in the summer, which meant that Mikel Arteta had to fill those places to maintain a strong leadership group.

Declan Rice came in and his leadership skills have been very evident. Gabriel Magalhaes and Eddie Nketiah have also worn the captain’s armband on a few occasions.

On Saturday, towards the end of the game against Chelsea, Bukayo Saka was spotted wearing the armband, and he celebrated the proud moment on Instagram.

Yesterday, in his press conference, Arteta was asked if Saka is now a part of the leadership group at Arsenal. He replied: “Yes!”

He also added, as per Arsenal.com: “I think it is really important for them because the role that they have in our way of playing, in our team and in our club has to be mirrored with the leadership level that they should have around the team to make it grow.

“I think it’s been a perfect environment; we have a really good mixture of players, teams and experiences in that group and it’s going to be a really valuable time to spend with those guys to understand what happens behind the scenes as well.”

Saka deserves to be Arsenal captain one day

Bukayo Saka has been one of the biggest reasons why Arsenal are so good today.

The 22-year-old was there when Arteta first came in and was almost always one of the only shining lights during the Gunners’ dark periods a few years ago.

He fought to bring Arsenal back to challenging for titles, and he completely deserves to be a part of the leadership group now despite his young age.

Even though there are a few more suitable candidates, we feel Saka has to become Arsenal’s captain one day – he is destined to lead the club.
