It is a big week at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as the January transfer window draws to a conclusion and Ange Postecoglou’s team have two games on the agenda. Following the slender FA Cup defeat against Man City on Friday evening, Tottenham have an opportunity to bounce back immediately when they take on Brentford on home soil.

The Lilywhites are then in action three days later when they make the trip north to face Everton at Goodison Park. Those two fixtures are sandwiched either side of the January transfer deadline, which is at 11pm on Thursday, February 1.

Tottenham have already made their mark in the winter market with the additions of two players but supporters will be hoping that there is at least another new arrival before the window slams shut. One player who won’t be joining Spurs is Norwegian ace Antonio Nusa.

The highly-rated youngster is in fact going to seal a Premier League move but he will instead be playing his football for Brentford over the next few years. Nusa and his camp have their reasons for choosing Brentford over Spurs, with our Tottenham correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest discussing the decision in the latest episode of their podcast Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham.

As well as Nusa’s move to west London, the rest of January transfer window and whether Spurs will manage to get another deal over the line is a big talking point. Aside from the club’s transfer business over the next few days, on-field matters are discussed following the 1-0 FA Cup defeat against Man City and the upcoming clash against Brentford.

Postecoglou has some big calls to make in regards to his team selection for the Bees game, including the possible inclusion of January signing Radu Dragusin. So will the Romanian international be handed his first Tottenham start in midweek against Brentford?
