PNE were linked with the Liverpool man last week – along with league leaders Leicester City
When Jarell Quansah, a defender for Liverpool, was linked to Preston North End last week, Lilywhites boss Ryan Lowe was taken aback.
The 20-year-old was reportedly the subject of a loan interest from PNE to league leaders Leicester City, according to reports in the national media. Quansah made his debut for Jurgen Klopp’s team in August and has since made nine appearances for the Reds across all competitions.
After spending the second part of the previous season playing 16 games on loan for League One Bristol Rovers, Quansah is now included in the starting lineup at Anfield. However, there are rumors that Liverpool might lend him out once more during the next transfer window. Calvin Ramsay, a full back, is on loan at Preston for the current campaign, and Preston manager Lowe is a huge Liverpool fan.
Although it’s thought that North End has previously shown interest in Quansah, Lowe has downplayed the likelihood of a January transfer. PNE has experienced injuries in their defense throughout the current campaign, but when everyone is healthy, they have a sufficient number of players in that position.
When questioned about the connections and whether defense is an area he plans to bolster, Lowe responded, “I don’t know where that came from, to be honest.” “Quansah is an incredible player, but if he continues to participate in Europa League games, I don’t see him leaving Liverpool anytime soon. He’s most likely going to play tonight! Again, I have no idea where it originated. He is, nonetheless, a talented player.
