THIS IS NOT GOOD:Arteta Confirms Bukayo Saka To Miss Out On Man City clash Till January Due To…

Update on Bukayo Saka’s condition following Arsenal’s concerning setback before the Man City match.

Bukayo Saka is questionable for Arsenal’s crucial match against Premier League champions Manchester City after being pulled out during the first half of a Champions League loss to Lens on Tuesday.

Regarding Bukayo Saka’s prospects of playing in Sunday’s Premier League matchup between Arsenal and Manchester City, Mikel Arteta has drawn a gloomy picture.

The English winger was substituted after just 34 minutes in Tuesday’s 2-1 Champions League loss at Lens.

With only one point separating the two teams in the title race, the Gunners are scheduled to play Pep Guardiola’s team at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.

After Arteta was reported by Norwegian journalist Arilas Ould-Sada as saying that his star’s injury “doesn’t look good,” Saka now appears unlikely to be a part of the hosts’ plans.

He was replaced by Fabio Vieira in Lens, and Arteta now has to make a difficult choice before a critical match against titleholders City.

Arteta told reporters at the post-match press conference: “He tried to backheel a ball in the first half and felt something muscular. He felt uncomfortable and we had to take him off.

We don’t know anything more. It was big enough not to allow him to continue to play the game and that’s a worry for us. I have no clue [if he can make the weekend]

When asked if Saka required convincing to play on during such a busy part of this season’s schedule, the manager replied: “No, he was really looking forward to playing like every player. It was a big Champions League night.”

Arteta had faced pressure to rest Saka, who has already been carrying injuries this season after an Achilles problem affected him late last term.

And the manager was blamed by some fans for refusing to bench arguably his most valuable asset with the City clash around the corner.

TNT Sports will give sports fans access to games from the Premier League, Europa League, Serie A, and much more in addition to the Champions League.

The Spaniard continued by saying that Tuesday’s setback was more of a “knock” than it was connected to any of the player’s prior problems.

That might not be enough to placate the irate fans who were miffed that he even made an appearance in midweek.

Adrien Thomasson and Elye Wahi’s goals overshadowed Gabriel Jesus’ opening goal as Arsenal’s perfect season came to an end in France.

The north Londoners are still unbeaten at home, but title rivals City will seriously jeopardize that record on Sunday.

Gabby Agbonlahor now doesn’t think Mikel Arteta trusts 23-year-old Arsenal man

Pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has suggested that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta might not trust Emile Smith Rowe after barely using him this season.

Agbonlahor was speaking on TalkSPORT (4/10 6:15am) after Arsenal’s disappointing 2-1 defeat to Lens.

Gabriel Jesus scored a well-executed goal to give Arsenal the lead in France early on, but Adrien Thomasson tied the score 10 minutes later.

Elye Wahi, a summer transfer target for Tottenham, scored a stunning goal to break the tie.

One of the main talking points was Bukayo Saka’s injury, who hobbled out before halftime.

He didn’t complete the whole 90 minutes against Bournemouth and didn’t appear to be totally fit, so he was always going to be a question.

According to Gabby Agbonlahor, it is now concerning that Mikel Arteta chose to rest Saka rather than using Emile Smith Rowe or Reiss Nelson.

There have been question marks over Smith Rowe’s future at the Emirates after he failed to start a single league game last season.

He was linked with a move away in the summer and those rumours haven’t gone away.

It might be time for the England international to demand more minutes or consider his future in North London.
