SPORTROOM NEWS: Andy Robertson Injury Return Date Revealed Following An Ankle Surgery On…

Andy Robertson, Stefan Bajcetic, and Thiago Alcantara’s return dates and most recent injury news are provided for Liverpool.

Liverpool is having difficulties on many fronts, but certain first-team players are still out of the lineup.

As Liverpool’s busy schedule continues, Jurgen Klopp is confronted with a well-known injury list.

With just three points separating them from the top spot in the Premier League and their Carabao Cup and Europa League campaigns still on track, the Reds are in excellent form.

The Liverpool boss has had to make do without Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago in midfield though, while Andy Robertson remains a notable absentee.

Andy Robertson

Andy Robertson faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after undergoing shoulder surgery.

The left-back picked up the injury while on international duty earlier this month with Scotland, and Klopp was reluctant to give a timescale for his return when asked last week.

“He’s had his surgery and it all went well, as good as it could be,” Klopp said.

“We don’t know how long it will take but the first step is done.”

Potential return date: January 2024

Thiago Alcantara

Liverpool have had to cope without Thiago Alcantara for the entirety of the campaign so far, after he had hip surgery at the end of last season.

The midfielder was close to a return earlier this month but has suffered two setbacks and remains unavailable.

Assistant coach Pep Lijnders said on Tuesday: “We have missed Thiago. I have missed him a lot.

Imagine our new midfield that people are talking about and you have Thiago in the middle as well guiding. [The injury] will take time. He won’t be available.”

Stefan Bajcetic

Stefan Bajcetic has at least featured this season, making his return from injury as he started against LASK and then came off the bench against Leicester a week later in September.

Since then the midfielder has been on the sidelines though, having “felt something else” according to Klopp.

Lijnders confirmed on Tuesday that the midfielder remains out for now.

Potential return date: November 2023.

Ben Doak

Teenager Ben Doak picked up a muscle injury while on international duty with Scotland U21s earlier this month, but it is not believed to be a serious issue.

“[He] has a little muscle thing, so we have to see but is not available for the weekend,” Klopp confirmed ahead of his side’s win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

On Monday, he made a partial return to training to suggest he is nearing a return.

Potential return date: Thursday, November 9, 2023 vs Toulouse

Conor Bradley

Conor Bradley suffered a stress fracture in his back at the end of August, with it reported at the time that he was set to be out for eight to 12 weeks.

Liverpool have only announced that he is “making progress” with his recovery, but quotes from Klopp at the start of the month suggested the club will be patient with Bradley’s return.

He said: “With these kind of injuries you tend to give them rather three weeks more than not enough because it has to do with the growing process of the body and stuff like this.”

Potential return date: December 2023
