SOURCE JUST IN: SHEFFILED WEDNESDAY KEEN TO SIGN 23 YEAR OLD RENGER ATTACKER WITH 21 GOALS.

Sheffield and Barnsley According to sources speaking to Football Insider on Wednesday, Wigan and Cheltenham are

interested in signing former Solihull Moors and Rangers striker Andy Dallas.

The 23-year-old is regarded as one of the top attackers outside of the Football League after scoring 21 goals last season.

Dallas is a free agent after finishing up his contract with Solihull Moors, but because he is under 24, the National League

team would be required to pay a compensation fee for his services.

The striker made 50 appearances for Solihull in a season that saw the club finish 15th in the National League.

Dallas joined the non-league side in 2021 after two years with Cambridge United where he made just 33 appearances for the

club.

The goalscorer spent three years within the Rangers academy but never made his debut for the senior side and featured just

once for the Scottish giants’ B team.

Barnsley finished fourth in League One last term and narrowly missed out on a spot in the Championship following a 1-0

defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the play-off final.

Wigan are joining Barnsley in the English third tier next season after finishing bottom in the second division with just 39

points from 44 games.

Fellow League One side Cheltenham are also interested in adding Dallas to their ranks after scoring just 45 goals in the

competition last term and finishing 16th and ten points clear of the relegation zone.
