Sky Sports breaking news The EPL starlet’s Celtic transfer is “not right,” but he might still join “his favourite team…

According to an ex-SPFL striker, one of the English Premier League’s most highly regarded young forwards should not join Celtic this January.

Brighton striker Evan Ferguson is expected to leave the AMEX Stadium next month after making just two appearances for the high-flying Seagulls, despite reports that Sunderland, Leeds United, and Celtic are all interested in the player.

If a loan transfer is an option for him, you would advise that it would make sense to go to another Premier League team, provided that he receives the minutes that he needs. He could be able to relocate to Europe.

Given the calibre of the Scottish Premiership, I don’t believe Evan Ferguson would be a good fit for a transfer there. The 20-year-old striker, who has been captained by the Republic of Ireland 18 times, had a huge impact as a teenager and scored 10 goals for Brighton during his breakthrough 2022–2023 season.

The former Sunderland striker does think that Ferguson’s early Celtic support could give them an edge over other teams if Brendan Rodgers decides to make a January transfer.

He’s an Irish lad who has previously admitted Celtic are his favourite Scottish team said Goodman That could be a little carrot which makes him consider a move to Parkhead.

European football would also be an attraction. But would it be enough for him after being linked with some of the best clubs in the world previously.
