Chelsea lost to Brighton 2-1 in the FA Cup fourth round Wednesday night, and Blues supporters will not like how Enzo Maresca answered a single question.
After the match, the Italian took a seat to discuss the loss, Chelsea’s elimination from another competition, and their missed opportunity to take home a trophy this season.
Chelsea took an early lead thanks to a terrible goalkeeping error from a Cole Palmer cross for the second consecutive week, and they were extremely fortunate.
However, nothing went well for Chelsea after that, and Maresca made some other remarks following the game that Chelsea will be upset about.
The rest of the game just went against them, and they played a sluggish, poor, and unimaginative game, only gaining possession but not seeming to do anything with it. Chelsea soon fell behind the home team 2-1, and they didn’t even appear to have a chance to tie the score.
