Among the teams taking an interest in Sebastian Szymanski, Tottenham may end up being too good to refuse for the 24-year-old if a move presents itself.
Only signed from Dynamo Moscow in the summer, the midfielder has gone from strength to strength this season in Turkey with Fenerbahçe, scoring 12 goals and picking up 14 assists in 35 games to date.
That’s caught the eye of Tottenham, who could need up to €35m to sign him, and former agent Kamil Kosowski, now an expert for Przeglad Sportowy, expects the player to jump at the chance to work under Ange Postecoglou if it does become available.
He explains that ‘there is no better time’ than the present, as he is currently in great form, to make the move to a top league, like the Premier League, but he will have to decide whether England is ‘the right choice’ for him.
Then again, if a club like Tottenham were to show up, ‘you just pack up and go’, as he will arrive with a lot of confidence and ‘deserves this next leap’ in his career.
The one criticism thrown at Szymanski by Kosowski is the need to take this form into the national team, but that isn’t something Spurs will be worrying about, solely thinking about how he can benefit them.
Therefore, it seems that a lot in Poland would be behind the attacking midfielder if he did choose to go to Tottenham in the last few days of the transfer window.

Rangers’ Rıdvan Yılmaz arrived at Ibrox from Beşiktaş in 2022 and has featured regularly for Philippe Clement’s side since then. He’s made 17 appearances this season, managing two goals and an assist in the process.
The left-back’s decision to leave the Black Eagles for Rangers has been criticised by Hull City president Acun Ilıcalı. He’s been speaking to Beyaz TV’s Beyaz Futbol, relayed by Cumhuriyet, on various topics, including the 22-year-old.
Galatasaray are keen on taking the defender away from Philippe Clement’s side in the winter market.
Earlier today, Fanatik reported the Istanbul club have made an improved offer of €3.5m, while Rangers are demanding €4.5m to sanction the fullback’s sale. It was also stated Galatasaray won’t increase their offer for the Turkey international.
Even though there’s still a €1m difference, the Hull City official has urged his compatriot to leave Rangers for Galatasaray in this window.
“Rıdvan Yılmaz went to the wrong place. He needs to make an urgent comeback, such returns are effective. The Galatasaray management knows best, but he can do good work in the Turkish quota,” he said.
As well as the Rangers man, Fanatik reported Galatasaray have Sevilla’s Marcos Acuña as another left-back target.
