Shocking News: Pep Guardiola’s Future in Doubt As He New Details Emerge About Crucial Months Ahead
A fresh revelation has emerged about the months where Pep Guardiola will decide his future at Manchester City.
In May, it was reported that the decision-makers at City are hoping that Guardiola decides his next career move by Christmas.
The £378,846-a-week man is arguably the most important figure behind the Sky Blues’ success and how early he decides to stay or leave the club at the end of his contract in 2025 could give the higher-ups enough time to conjure up their plan of action accordingly.
However, it seems unlikely that Pep Guardiola will rush into making a decision — taking into account how accustomed he is to life at the Etihad Stadium and Manchester for eight years.

The months where Pep Guardiola will decide Manchester City future revealed
The Catalan tactician has returned to pre-season training, as posted by the club’s official X account.
Guardiola will be preparing his Manchester City side ahead of their pre-season tour to the United States of America — where they will face the likes of Celtic, AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea.
Less than a month later, the Sky Blues will go toe-to-toe with Manchester United in the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium.
The former Bayern Munich boss has plenty on his plate currently.
As per a report by journalist Jamie Jackson in The Guardian, Pep Guardiola will decide his future at Manchester City between the months of December and February.
Ideal if Manchester City are aware of the Pep Guardiola plan
If the decision-makers are City are aware that Guardiola has earmarked the months between December and February to decide whether he wishes to stay at the club or leave the club, all parties will be on the same page.
Neither will the higher-ups at the Etihad Stadium feel pressured to ask the six-time Premier League winner about his decision, nor will the man in question be disrupted while making a hugely important career move.
With how streamlined Manchester City come across as a club from top to bottom, it seems likely that Pep Guardiola and the board might have had communicated with each other to stay aligned.
Guardiola would be able to assess how the players continue to respond to his instructions and how he feels about staying in England whilst being able to set up his side up to achieve their goals without feeling any pressure from the top.

Nick Kyrgios has claimed that a “changing of the guard” is now taking place in tennis. His comments come after Carlos Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final for the second year in a row, taking the trophy in straight sets (6-2, 6-2 and 7-6).
With his latest SW19 victory, Alcaraz takes his Wimbledon title tally to two, while it is now four Grand Slam titles overall for the Spaniard – and all by the age of 21. Alvaraz still has a way to go to match Djokovic’s incredible 24 Grand Slam titles, but Kyrgios has claimed he could be the man to take the Serbian’s throne.
Kyrgios, who worked for the BBC during Wimbledon, posted his thoughts on X. He said: “Wow. Love Djokovic, but is this maybe the first time we can say the ‘changing of the guard’ ?!?!”

Alcaraz has shown himself to be a formidable opponent for Djokovic, having now defeated him in back-to-back Wimbledon finals. He also won the French Open, while fellow youngster Jannik Sinner defeated another promising star, Daniil Medvedev in the final of the Australian Open.
Those three, plus Alexander Zverev, are now at the front of the queue when it comes to Grand Slam events. It represents a significantly different make-up to the last two decades when the likes of Djokovic, Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer consistently won the biggest events on the calendar.
Kyrgios’ claim about Djokovic is not without substance, following Alcaraz’s recent dominance and Serbian’s injury issues amid rumours of retirement. But the 37-year-old has no intention of hanging up his racket just yet, particularly with the Olympics just around the corner.
Novak Djokovic could hand the tennis baton over to Alcaraz in the future
Speaking after the Wimbledon final, Djokovic said: “As far as coming back here, I mean, I would love to. I don’t have anything else in my thoughts right now that this is my last Wimbledon. I really want to play at least whatever. I don’t have any limitations in my mind. I still want to keep going and play as long as I feel like I can play on this high level.”
The Serbian has also expressed his excitement for the Olympics, adding: “Yeah, let’s keep it going because I still keep going. I still have intentions to play Olympic Games, hopefully have a chance to fight for a medal for my country. On a completely different surface obviously, going back to the place where I got injured some weeks ago. Let’s see.
“Let’s see how physically and mentally I’m going to feel. Hopefully I can find the right tennis ’cause I’m going to need all I have and more to go to the final of the Olympic Games.”
