“SHOCKING NEWS”: I’m pretty shocked by what he heard about the Spurs manager in regards to…
Ange Postecoglou hit the ground running when he arrived at Tottenham.
The Australian had Spurs at the top of the league after three months in the job, and it looked as though he had transformed the team.
However, after a run of just six wins in Spurs’ last 15 games, questions are being asked of both Tottenham and their manager.
Speaking on BBC 606, Chris Sutton fielded a number of calls from Spurs fans who had complaints about the team’s style at the moment, and he says that he’s staggered that these complaints are starting now, claiming that Spurs fans were desperate for this kind of style last season under Antonio Conte.
Chris Sutton shocked by Ange Postecoglou complaints
Sutton shared his verdict on what he’d heard some Spurs fans saying about Postecoglou.
“Do you know what Robbie? I thought these calls would come next season about Spurs needing to be more pragmatic, but we’ve had a couple of Spurs fans on now, I’m absolutely staggered by these fans we’ve had on, this is what they wanted and now they’re moaning about it, deary me,” Sutton said.
Bad run
We can absolutely understand why Postecoglou is being questioned – this is a poor run of form.

Six wins in 15 matches isn’t good enough by any level of expectation. To put into context, Antonio Conte had seven wins in his last 15 games before being sacked as the manager of Tottenham last season.
Of course, the underlying issues at Spurs last term were impossible to ignore, but in terms of on-field performances, Spurs are slipping back down to the level they showed for large portions of last term.
If Tottenham want to finish in the top four, they need to improve and rediscover the form they showed at the beginning of the Postecoglou era.
