Sad news: Declan Rice’s statement has landed him into a big problem

“I doesn’t know how to get against my formal club’

Declan’s Rice former West Ham teammate Vladimir Coufal has backed the England midfielder to win more trophies with the Gunners despite their Carabao Cup exit on Wednesday.

Despite Arsenal’s Carabao Cup defeat to West Ham United, Vladimir Coufal believes Declan Rice will win more trophies this season.

Rice, who joined Arsenal for £105 million after ten years at West Ham, was a successful captain with his former club, leading them to victory in the Europa Conference League last season. Rice has had a fantastic start to his Arsenal career, but the 24-year-old was unable to help the Gunners fight back in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Rice came on as a substitute in the London Stadium match, where West Ham won 3-0 thanks to an own goal by Ben White and second-half goals by Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen. David Moyes’ side will now face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, and while success in the Carabao Cup is now out of the question for Arsenal, Coufal believes Rice will add to the Community Shield he won in August.

“I think they’ll win something for sure,” Rice’s former West Ham teammate predicted. “They’ve already won the Community Shield, so he has a trophy with Arsenal.” I don’t think they’ll be too disappointed if they lose this game.”

“It was something special, to see him on the other side of the pitch,” Coufal said of seeing Rice play for a different team. He’s doing an even better job for Arsenal than he did for us.

“He’s an incredible player.” It was strange seeing him in different colors, but we wish him the best of luck. He came into our dressing room to say hello and check on us.”

With the FA Cup yet to begin, Arsenal remain in contention for the Premier League and Champions League, but Coufal has his sights set on adding Carabao Cup glory to West Ham’s Europa Conference League triumph.

“Of course, we would like to win another trophy,” the Czech Republic fullback said. “It’s still extremely difficult. We all know that Manchester City, Manchester United, and now Arsenal are gone, but there are still a lot of good teams left.

“Every win against a team in the top six or at the top of the table is fantastic.” It was the Carabao Cup, but we needed this victory after three tough defeats in a row.”
