Last night, Manchester City won the Champions League, and Brandon Williams was not happy about it.
The Manchester United full-back made it quite clear that the Red Devils’ dominance stems from their first-ever treble victory.
The 22-year-old also mocked Rio Ferdinand, a former Red Devil, for praising Jack Grealish and his Man City teammates on their historic victory.
Given his attachment to United, Williams believed the veteran defender was incorrect to compliment Pep Guardiola’s team.
“@rioferdy5” he added. If you were a player, I bet you didn’t congratulate. maintain your morals. Two faces are monotonous.
Williams has been a member of Man United since 2008, so it seems sense that the academy graduate would react in this way.
Ferdinand was merely performing his punditry duties, thus criticizing him was unnecessary.
Williams is anticipated to leave the team this summer after losing favor in recent campaigns.
Due to injury, he was not included on Man Utd’s Europa League roster for the current campaign. Fiorentina has been linked to him.
The Englishman, whose contract expires in a year, has only appeared in one game this season, a four-minute cameo against Burnley in the Carabao Cup.
