Report: Bills Repoerted Confirmed Trade With The Arizona Cardinals with clause On….

The Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals could be in business in the very near future.  Buffalo currently sits at 9-6 and is in very good position to make the post-season.  Meanwhile the Arizona Cardinals are 3-12 and still in contention for the number one overall draft pick next year (even though the Panthers might have that locked up).

One report has surfaced that has these two franchises making a surprising trade that would certainly alter both franchises.

The Buffalo Bills And Arizona Cardinals Could Made Massive Trade Involving A Super Star

Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report highlighted how this massive move could go down:

Bills Receive: 2024 first-round pick (via Houston), 2025 third-round pick

Cardinals Receive: WR Stefon Diggs

Stefon Diggs made the ESPN list and has been the focus of trade speculation going back to last offseason. The receiver isn’t shy about letting people know when he’s frustrated and there’s a reason he’s had to address his relationship with the team on multiple occasions.

As Dan Graziano noted, how the Bills season ends could have a lot to do with whether the trade speculation picks up again.

Diggs’ production recently could lead to more frustration even though it has come in Bills victories. He’s been held under 50 yards in four of the last five games after hitting that benchmark in each of the team’s first nine contests.

If things have truly gone south, then the Cardinals would be an interesting team to come calling. They have two first-round picks, which would allow them to use theirs and deal the one they got from Houston last year.

However, the Texans pick is trending toward the middle of the draft order, which would still allow the Bills to continue getting younger as they build around Allen in his second contract.

Jonathan Gannon and the Cards should be looking to show signs of drastic improvement in 2024. Kyler Murray’s absence was a built-in reason to struggle this year. Now Gannon has to prove he can thrive.

The Cardinals have $56.1 million in 2024 cap space, per Spotrac. And potentially outfitting Murray with Stefon Diggs and Marvin Harrison Jr. immediately makes them one of the league’s most intriguing offenses.

Will The Bills Ever Move On From Diggs?

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs (14) catches a two-point conversion as Cincinnati Bengals safety Dax Hill (23) defends in the fourth quarter during a Week 9 NFL football game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals, Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati.

Diggs had just five catches for 29 yards in Week 16’s victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. It was Diggs’ third consecutive game with fewer than 50 receiving yards, and he hadn’t topped 100 yards since Week 6 on October 15.

As the Bills prepare for their Week 17 game against the New England Patriots, Diggs continues to be a pivotal part of the team despite the recent performance dip. There are questions about Diggs’ recent struggles and whether they will impact the team’s playoff hopes as they enter the final stretch of the regular season.

If this season ends poorly for the Bills, could a Diggs trade be on the horizon?

So far this season Allen has thrown for 3,778 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions.

He has also rushed for 413 yards and 13 touchdowns while leading the Bills to a 9-6 record.

The comparison is somewhat curious however due to several factors with one of the most notable ones being the differences in how each QB started their NFL journey.

Allen was selected with the No. 7 overall pick in 2018 before going on to start 11 games as a rookie, meanwhile Brady was not picked until the sixth round and did not step on the field until Drew Bledsoe suffered a serious injury.

But together with Belichick, Brady won six of his seven Super Bowl titles in a formidable partnership.

The two QB’s also play the game very differently seeing as Allen is much more of a runner and risk taker with the ball, while Brady was essentially a statue in the pocket who took a much safer approach when throwing the ball.

Buffalo and New England have had much different seasons this year ahead of their matchup this week.

Unlike the Bills who are currently set to make the playoffs as a wild card seed barring a collapse down the final stretch of the regular season the Patriots are currently 4-11 and were eliminated from post season contention weeks ago.
