Motörhead Announce Release of Unheard 1980s Album with Full Lemmy Vocals – A World-Shaking Discovery
In a revelation that has stunned the global rock and metal community, Motörhead has officially announced the upcoming release of a lost album recorded during the height of their 1980s reign, featuring unheard and fully completed vocals from Lemmy Kilmister. Titled “Lemmy’s Lost Years,” the album will be released worldwide on November 15, 2025, sending shockwaves through the music world.
The album, recorded in secret studio sessions between the band’s Ace of Spades and Iron Fist eras, was long believed to have been destroyed or shelved indefinitely due to label issues and internal chaos. However, original tapes were recently unearthed in a mislabeled box at a storage facility in London, containing nine complete tracks with Lemmy’s unmistakable voice, searing basslines, and lyrics that had never reached the public ear.
“It’s like Lemmy never left,” said guitarist Phil Campbell. “The energy on these tracks is insane. It’s raw, loud, and pure Motörhead. When we heard his voice through the speakers again, it gave us chills.”
The band has partnered with Lemmy’s estate and longtime producer Cameron Webb to remaster and preserve the original analog recordings, keeping their gritty, vintage authenticity intact. Fans can expect deluxe editions, including vinyl pressings, cassette formats, and digital remasters, along with behind-the-scenes footage from the original sessions.
In addition, a short documentary titled Unearthed: The Lost Years of Lemmy will premiere on Netflix in conjunction with the album’s release, offering fans a closer look at this monumental rediscovery.
For a band whose motto was “Born to lose, live to win,” this release is nothing short of legendary—proof that Motörhead’s flame still burns, and Lemmy’s voice will roar forever.
