Liverpool’s task of winning the Premier League just got harder after Pep Guardiola warning

It appears that the two-horse battle for the Premier League title is over, since teams like Arsenal are now challenging for the trophy.

If Liverpool is to succeed in winning a championship for the first time since the 2019–20 campaign, a further obstacle has emerged, according to Pep Guardiola.

“Yes, without a doubt,” the Manchester City manager responded when asked about Aston Villa’s championship pedigree, as reported by Sky Sports. “The way they are playing, you have to be there to witness the physicality, pace, speed, the bench, Unai Emery’s organization, the set pieces and high pressing in the medium block, and how amazing they are at defending the goalie and the back four.” Indeed.

The fact that the Villans have surpassed the reigning champions to take third place seems to validate the Spaniard’s opinions.

Is there a chance for an unexpected champion?

Not very long ago, a dependable Leicester City team under Claudio Ranieri upset the status quo by winning the Premier League trophy.

We most definitely shouldn’t be implying that Unai Emery’s team has no chance of taking home the greatest honor in the country based just on that.

Admittedly, it’s a long shot while teams like Liverpool and Arsenal are playing at their best—not to mention that Manchester City is still in the running!

Still, a chance. This is going to be such an intriguing season!
