Liverpool’s ideal defense with two acquisitions is based on Jürgen Klopp’s release clause and $32 million ‘talks’

This summer, Liverpool must consider adding defensive reinforcements in addition to midfielders because Alexis Mac Allister will likely be joined by at least a few more new players.

 

In the coming weeks and months, Jörg Schmadtke will have a lot of work to complete, thus Liverpool needs to reorganize its midfield this summer.

But in addition to the spots higher up the field, Jürgen Klopp also needs to strengthen his defense. The Liverpool back line needs some adjustments.

Goal reports that Jol Matip is expected to leave this summer and will be out of contract in 2024, while Virgil van Dijk will turn 32 on the day when Liverpool’s players will start getting back together for preseason the following month.
