Liverpool transfer news: Potential $48 million steal, “next Kevin De Bruyne” move “accelerated”

Jürgen Klopp is reportedly in a bidding war with Barcelona for a player similar to Kevin De Bruyne, and he has been made aware of a potential $48 million steal.

Alexis Mac Allister, an Argentine star, has already been signed by Liverpool to start the midfield rebuild, but he won’t be the only player that joins to assist Jürgen Klopp’s team recapture its former glory.

After leaving Liverpool behind last season, the new sporting director Jörg Schmadtke will now take the helm in trying to obtain some further targets over a summer that will be crucial in deciding whether or not Liverpool can fully challenge again next year.

Manu Koné and Khéphren Thuram have been mentioned as potential targets, and according to BILD’s Christian Falk for Caught Offside today, Liverpool is in talks to acquire Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard.

Following the development of Alexis Mac Allister, Liverpool has seven players that cannot be traded.

Liverpool’s $32 million transfer ‘talks’ with Bayern Munich star could spark an intriguing new idea.

However, a few more names are also mentioned in connection with transfers to Anfield. One of them is a Juventus player who looks like he might be moving this summer, and the other is a name that hasn’t been mentioned in a while but might be intriguing.

Here is Liverpool.com’s opinion on the rumors surrounding the Reds’ pending transfers, starting with Federico Chiesa, who the Reds have been connected to intermittently over the past few years.

Juve’s Federico Chiesa
While adding another forward is not Liverpool’s top priority this summer, it cannot be fully ruled out if the right player were available at the right price.

Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Newcastle United have all reportedly been informed that Chiesa may be available for as little as $48 million (£38 million/€45 million), according to the Italian magazine Corriere dello Sport.

According to the report, Chiesa is open to leaving Juventus because he no longer feels like the “center” of the team. The Serie A powerhouses are already considering Nicol Zaniolo (who has been on loan at Galatasaray) and Wilfried Gnonto (who just got demoted with Leeds United) as potential replacements.

According to Liverpool.com, Chiesa is a great player who has endured numerous injuries. He might be worth a shot for the proper price, but there is a chance that he won’t return to his former glory.
