Liverpool on a verge to sign 24 year old “frightening” Burkinabé starlet ..

Tottenham Hotspur is becoming concerned about Liverpool’s transfer interest in their target player, a starlet.

This summer, the Reds are looking to add a center-back, and Taposba has been speculatively connected to them.

Spurs appear to be the team with the most interest in the Bayer Leverkusen player, though.

In keeping with that today, 90min asserts that the residents of North London are actively discussing joining

Tapsoba.

But nothing has been done as of yet. And according to reports, Spurs are ‘concerned’ about their Premier League

rivals’ ‘increasing interest’ in the 24-year-old. Along with Manchester United and Newcastle, Liverpool is one of the

teams that Tottenham is rumored to be concerned about.

The rumored joining of Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg is good news for Ange Postecoglou though.

Although Van de Ven is rumored to have been coveted by Liverpool, it is currently assumed that he will play his

football at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Reds might try to exact revenge with Tapsoba.

Tapsoba appears to be the kind of player Liverpool may be interested in, at least on paper. Young but experienced,

well qualified but not at the top level, prepared to advance.

We also know that, if the right player becomes available, the Reds are eager to sign a center-back this summer.

Despite all of that, we don’t picture Tapsoba as that man. That has nothing to do with his skill; budesliga.com has

described his heading alone as ‘frightening.’ He will be a top acquisition for whoever signs him.

However, it’s widely known that Liverpool is solely looking to add a left-footed defender this summer. Tapsoba does

not have a left foot.

We would be shocked if the Reds attempted to pressure Tottenham in this match.

Perhaps it would be more likely that they choose to pursue their interest in Van de Ven. Liverpool don’t seem very

concerned about a fight, though, as it appears like Spurs have already made plans to sign the Dutchman.

Therefore, we don’t believe one of these two will be the new defender Jurgen Klopp signs. After the midfield is

settled, we can observe if any more names start to surface. Spurs need not worry about Liverpool in this situation.

Liverpool are readying an opening offer to sign Romeo Lavia after deciding to make the

Southampton their next priority signing in a move that will free up Newcastle to land one of Jurgen

Klopp’s alternative targets.

Jurgen Klopp’s side endured a disappointing and underwhelming 2022/23 season, finishing outside the Champions

League places. That fifth-placed finish ensures they will compete in the Europa League next season. It’s also the

lowest position they have finished in during a full season under the German’s control.

A big factor in their fall from grace was a surprising lack of verve in midfield. But with James Milner, Naby Keita and

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all departing, Klopp has been given permission – and the funds – to significantly rebuild

the side.

To that end, Klopp and Co have wasted little time in strengthening their ranks. Alexis Mac Allister was brought in for

an initial £35m soon after the season was completed. And over the weekend, Liverpool were able to wrap up their

Ksecond summer signing, paying RB Leipzig £60m for Dominik Szoboszlai.
