Liverpool injury update: Andrew Robertson, Cody Gakpo and Stefan Bajcetic latest news and return dates

Over the international break, Liverpool was dealt a new injury setback.

With what appeared to be a serious shoulder issue, Andrew Robertson left the field during Scotland’s loss in Spain.

The left back is listed as questionable for the next Merseyside derby against Everton along with Cody Gakpo and Stefan Bajcetic.

Thiago Alcantara is another player on the comeback trail while Caoimhin Kelleher has recently suffered an injury.

Here is your latest update of Liverpool injuries and return dates.

John Robertson

Robertson is a significant question mark for Liverpool’s match against Everton after returning from Scotland service early owing to a shoulder injury.

They are anxiously awaiting the answers to their enquiries.

He obviously damaged his shoulder, according to Scotland manager Steve Clarke. We’ll have a look, and [he] will undoubtedly return to his club.

Cody Gakpo

There is hope Gakpo will be back for the Everton meeting having almost made his return from a knee injury before the international break.

“He is already out of the brace,” Klopp revealed before the draw at Brighton. “[He] walks normal around, so from all the very, very bad opportunities and possibilities injury-wise, I think he nearly got the best but is still injured.”

Stefan Bajcetic

After a number of months out, young midfielder Bajcetic saw his return cut short after only one appearance due to a fresh problem.

Liverpool hope to have him back after the internationals but that is perhaps in hope rather than expectation.

Thiago Alcantara

Klopp recently confirmed a second setback in Thiago’s comeback from a hip injury, although his fresh problem is not an aggravation of the original injury.

While the midfielder remains in light training, given the setback was “annoying” but “not massive”, it remains to be seen how long he will be out for.

Caoimhin Kelleher

A training ground injury kept Kelleher out of Liverpool’s two final games before the break, as well as the goalkeeper’s Republic of Ireland duty.
