Liverpool has been in a battle to sign mo salah replacement, here is his replacement if only he leaves as has been agreed

Alexis MacAllister has already stated the reasons why Liverpool should look into Boca Juniors left-back Valentin Barco.

Mac Allister, a former Boca Juniors player, told Dataref earlier this month that the 19-year-old is a potential future Argentina international.

“I had a chance to see him, and I’m not saying anything new when I say he’s a great player,” the Liverpool midfielder said. “He has a lot of abilities, and even when it appears that his opponents are going to get the ball from him, no one can.

“I see him very focused, though occasionally on the pitch he throws in an extra luxury.” He has the potential to be a key player for our country and to represent us well in Europe.”

According to Calciomercato, it appears that the team Barco may represent in Europe has a good chance of being Liverpool.

According to the Italian outlet, the Reds are giving Juventus ‘fierce competition’ in the race to sign the teenager. With Barco reportedly ‘paying more attention’ to a European switch, the battle to recruit him appears to be heating up.

Liverpool battling to sign Barco

As Liverpool look towards South America for signings, Barco would seem like a smart one.

The youngster has established himself as a starter for Boca Juniors this season and looks set to develop into a really good player.

Barco, as an attacking full-back, has the potential to play further forward as well. He’s an intriguing profile as Liverpool considers a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson.

It’s also worth noting that the Reds may need to replace Mohamed Salah soon.

Although Barco has never played as a right-sided, left-footed attacker, Liverpool may have seen something in him that they like.

If they have, they won’t have to pay too much to get Barco in, according to 90min.

With a contract set to expire in December 2024, they claim the Argentina U20 international could be available for as little as £8 million.

Those with a sharp memory will recall that Robertson was hired for roughly that amount in 2017. With his full head of red hair, he even looks like a Scotsman. Perhaps that, along with Mac Allister’s glowing testimony, is all the evidence Liverpool requires. Keep the name in mind
