According to reports, Liverpool’s stance on selling Mohamed Salah would change if the Egypt attacker personally informed the club that he wants to
leave.
Salah penned a contract extension last summer to commit his future to Liverpool until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
The forward has been heavily linked with the Saudi Pro League this summer but his agent insisted earlier this month that he “remains
committed” to the Premier League giants.
Despite this, Saudi side Al-Ittihad are reportedly stepping up their interest in Salah. It was claimed on Friday morning that he’s given the Middle
East outfit the ‘green light to contact’ Liverpool about a transfer which would cost them around £257m in total.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is now reporting that Liverpool “have no intention” to let him leave but their position may change if the player
attempts to “force through a move”.
“Liverpool have no intentions to let Mo Salah leave despite Al Ittihad wanting to negotiate, Liverpool informed Salah’s people they would not
entertain him leaving as it stands,” Romano stated via his YouTube channel.
“The only chance for Mo Salah to leave is if he goes to the Liverpool board and tells them he wants out, which has not happened.
“Mo Salah has not communicated to Al Ittihad that he doesn’t want to join them this summer.
“It would take Mo Salah to force through a move for a deal to materialize.”
Journalist Ben Jacobs meanwhile has indicated that “dealmakers are growing in optimism” that Salah will sign for the Saudi Pro League outfit but it
will be “all on Liverpool should a formal offer arrive”.
“Al-Ittihad are exploring an ambitious late-window move for Mo Salah with a view to having him play in the 2023 Club World Cup in Jeddah. Saudi
champions originally had Salah as a 2024 target only,” Jacobs said via X.
“Dealmakers refer to “growing optimism” of a shock move, but Salah’s agent is on-record this month saying his client committed to #LFC.
“Salah offered a three-year deal with the promise of making him one of the best-paid players in the SPL. Base wage being prepared is £65m with
other earning opportunities on top.
“Nothing has been agreed with player just yet. Liverpool have been clear all window they don’t wish to…
“The pitch to Salah will be he can get close to (or even surpass) Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr package when all earning opportunities are considered. All on
Liverpool, though, should a formal offer arrive.”

Feyenoord star Mats Wieffer linked with a move to Liverpool
Feyenoord’s Mats Wieffer is engaging in talks with Liverpool over a potential move in the final days of the summer transfer window. The 23-year-old
Dutch midfielder’s journey from rejecting advances from AC Milan and Lazio to engaging with the Reds highlights the possibilities that lie ahead.
That is as per Football Transfers via ECHO. The prospect of Wieffer’s potential transfer to Anfield is surely one of anticipation. The young
Dutchman’s versatile skill set has drawn attention from clubs across Europe, reflecting his potential to make a mark in elite footballing circles.
This piece of news suggests that Wieffer’s rejection of AC Milan and Lazio signals a turning point. The allure of Liverpool’s stature and footballing
philosophy appears to have captured his attention, prompting him to open discussions with the Reds. The negotiation process’s current stage
remains in mystery, leaving fans to speculate about the direction it might take.

Wieffer’s contributions on the pitch tell a tale of adaptability. His 37 appearances for Feyenoord last season spanned various roles, showcasing his
versatility and willingness to slot into different positions. As a defensive midfielder, central midfielder, and even as a centre-back on
occasion, Wieffer certainly displayed a dynamic range that could potentially align with Liverpool’s tactical demands.
Wieffer to the Reds?
The prospect of a new midfielder gracing Anfield’s hallowed grounds is one that Liverpool supporters will watch with keen interest. The recent
exodus of almost all our first-choice midfielders coupled with a sense of lack of investment in the squad meant that the Reds, sooner than later,
needed to reinvest in the squad.
Even though we have Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, having a proper out-and-out defensive midfielder behind the latter
two would allow them to explore their creative best without fearing tracking back.

The possibility of Mats Wieffer donning the Liverpool jersey adds a layer of excitement to the transfer window. The young Dutch midfielder’s
potential addition carries the promise of fresh energy and a dynamic presence in the middle of the park. He has also often drawn comparisons with
Sergio Busquets as well.
. His versatility and adaptability on the pitch hold the potential to align seamlessly with Liverpool’s tactical ethos. As negotiations take their course,
fans can only wait in anticipation to see if Wieffer’s journey leads him to Anfield.
