Leeds United are prepared to offer a new contract to Everton and Tottenham Hotspur target Willy Gnonto with favourable clauses if he is
reintegrated back into the squad, according to the Daily Telegraph.
While exit clauses allowed several players to leave Leeds on loan this summer following their relegation, the Italy winger has no such provisions in
the contract he signed last year.
Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in him and Gnonto is trying to force his way out of Elland Road before the end of the transfer window
on 1st September.
The Toffees have been unable to agree a fee for the Italian, while Tottenham could enter the mix as they reshape Ange Postecoglou’s attack.
The winger has been removed from the first team dressing room but the hope is that he will be eventually reintegrated back into the fold.
The Whites are prepared to offer him a new contract with more favourable clauses once he is back in the team.
But for the moment, the standoff continues between Leeds and Gnonto with both sides vehemently sticking to their respective stances.

To Everton’s £25 million offer for Willy Gnonto, Leeds United responds
According to Corriere dello Sport, Willy Gnonto is waiting for Everton to increase their offer for him after Leeds United turned down the Merseyside
club’s £25 million deal.
The Italian publication revealed on page 19 of their print edition (17 August) that the 19-year-old wants to quit the team and works out by himself
with Luis Sinisterra. However, the Toffees will need to up their offer if they want to get the winger after the Whites turned down a £25 million offer.
Sean Dyche’s team reportedly made a £25 million offer for Gnonto on August 16 at 15:38 on Sky Sports’ live transfer blog, but this new rumor
suggests they may need to re-enter the market.
Everton supporters will be impatient with this transfer’s plodding progress. Leeds has every right to demand a premium price for Gnonto, but £25
million seems reasonable for a player with one Premier League season and two goals.
With Gnonto having already made it into the senior Italy men’s team and exhibiting genuine glimpses of excellence the previous season, the Toffees
will be purchasing him based on potential as well.
But if Everton is really serious about getting their guy, they might want to look at other possibilities. Leeds appears to be taking their time to agree on
a price as the transfer window progressively closes.
The Whites should get rid of Gnonto as soon as possible because he won’t play for the team, and Everton seems to be their only real choice.
Following their challenging but chance-filled matchup in their inaugural Premier League match against Fulham, Dyche will be eager to add goals to
his team.
