JUST NOW: Spurs are prepared to offer more than expected for Wolves’ key player due to…
Neto has been in scintillating form throughout the season and the winger showed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last Saturday just why there is so much hype around him.
The 23-year-old set up Wolves’ match-winner in the second half, which was his 11th assist of the season across all competitions to go with his three goals (Transfermarkt).
It has been widely reported over the last couple of weeks that Tottenham and Arsenal are expected to battle it out for the Wolves star’s signature next summer (The Sun), with some publications claiming that the winger is expected to cost around £60m (The Standard).
David Ornstein suggested in a Q&A session on The Athletic a couple of days ago that Gary O’Neil’s men could even demand a whopping £80m for their star man when the transfer window opens in June.
Pedro Neto could cost more than Spurs can afford
Jacobs has now stated that Wolves’ valuation of the Portugal international is around £10m to £15m more than what clubs are willing to offer.

When asked about Tottenham’s interest in Neto, he told GiveMeSport: “Even though they haven’t technically replaced Harry Kane, if they use Son or Richarlison to lead the line, and Timo Werner does stay permanently, maybe there is space in that Neto position.
“So, I think that it is likely that Tottenham will be there and will rekindle that interest. But I also think there’s a £10m to £15m gulf between how suitors value Neto compared to the number Wolves want now.”
Spurs Web Opinion
Given Tottenham’s failed efforts to sign Antonio Nusa last month, we know for a fact that Postecoglou is keen on bringing another pacy dribbler through the door.
However, the indications are that Neto would prove too expensive for Spurs, who tend to do most of their shopping in the £30m-£50m price point.
