JUST NOW: Shaquille O’Neal of the Philadelphia Eagles offers wise counsel to Jason Kelce on a major problem.

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal dropped some powerful advice for Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce should he decide to call it a career.

While Kelce has yet to make a decision on his retirement, Shaq knows very well that it will eventually come to all players. With that said, the Los Angeles Lakers icon made sure the Eagles star is ready for when it comes, be it soon or in the future.

Speaking on the latest episode of his The Big Podcast, O’Neal told his guest in Kelce that whenever he decides to retire, he should embrace it fully.

Knowing the family man that Kelce is, the NBA great also said that the Eagles star should make sure to spend time with his family. O’Neal used himself as an example, highlighting that he made plenty of mistakes instead of focusing on his family.

O’Neal wants Kelce to learn from him and not repeat his mistakes.

“My advice to you is if you are going to retire, accept it, and enjoy your family brother,” O’Neal shared, via The Spun.

“I made a lot of dumb mistakes to where I lost my family and I didn’t have anybody. That’s not the case for you. So enjoy your beautiful wife. Enjoy your beautiful kids, and never dwell on what we had. What we had is what we got. You got the ring. People know who you are. Enjoy. Because again, I was an idiot and I’ve talked about it a long time. I lost my whole family. I’m in a 100,000 square foot house by myself.”

That’s certainly a beautiful advice from O’Neal. He certainly has his own regrets, and he doesn’t want Kelce to experience the same thing.

As mentioned, Jason Kelce has yet to decide on his future in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles.

While there have been reports after their season ended that he’s going to retire, Kelce has since refuted those rumors and noted that he has not yet make a decision. After all, it’s hard for anyone to make such life-changing move when emotions are high.

Furthermore, Kelce has recently hinted that he’s having doubts about whether he would return or not. In a recent conversation with a fan who told him to not retire, Kelce responded by saying he’s trying to.

Whatever Kelce decides to do, however, he will be fondly remembered in the NFL for sure.
