Tottenham Hotspur attack to get a boost with the return of Manor Solomon

Tottenham Hotspur could welcome back Manor Solomon from his injury soon, per Football London. Ange Postecoglou spoke about Solomon’s return ahead of the Brighton fixture on 10th February. The manager revealed that the Israeli forward could be back in two or three weeks.

Manor Solomon had a flying start to the campaign this time, earning Postecoglou’s trust. He bagged two assists in his first start of the season. The game saw Spurs defeat Burnley away by 2-5. However, his journey was cut short by a meniscus injury.

The 24-year-old last played on 30th September against Liverpool. It’s been nearly five months since the forward has been out of action. Considering, Ange’s words, he should be back in the squad before the Palace fixture on 2nd March.

Despite his limited appearance, Solomon has enough admirers in the team with James Maddison being the most notable one. Maddison was a part of Tottenham’s matchday programme ‘Getting To Know’ where he answered a range of questions.

Upon being asked, ‘Who is the most skillful player in the team’, Maddison said:

“In terms of actual skills, tricks and quick feet I’d probably say Manor Solomon, one of the sharpest players I’ve ever seen.”

Solomon won’t be returning to the same Spurs side

James Maddison naming Solomon as the sharpest player at Spurs over other big names within the club is a testament to Israel international’s prowess. However, much has changed at the club since Manor Solomon embarked on his ‘recovery journey’.

Brennan Johnson has emerged as a trusted lieutenant for Ange Postecoglou. There is also Bryan Gil who gets his share of appearances, mostly due to Solomon’s absence.

Not to forget the addition of Timo Werner to the ranks. Manor Solomon will have to fight a bit too much to regain his place in the team. Tottenham are gunning for one of the top-four spots and the manager will be less likely to take any risks.
