JUST NOW: “I’m furious,” The 23-year-old Tottenham player expressed his utter anger due to…

Dejan Kulusevski has admitted he was ‘very angry’ with his finishing for Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Spurs suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Wolves at home and were arguably fortunate to lose by just one goal.

Ange Postecoglou’s men dominated the ball for large periods of the game but struggled to break down a resilient Wolves side. In truth, Gary O’Neil’s gameplan worked perfectly as Wolves carved Tottenham open on the counter-attack at will.

A Joao Gomes double secured all three points for O’Neil’s side after Spurs had threatened to come back into the game in the second half.

Dejan Kulusevski was the man who levelled things up right after halftime with a brilliant finish from a difficult angle. But the Swede believes he should have had a couple more to his name during yesterday’s defeat.

Kulusevski ‘very angry’ with his finishing against Wolves

Speaking to Spurs Play, Kulusevski claimed that he should have done better with a couple of chances that fell his way against Wolves.

“Absolutely, it’s hard [to break teams down],” he said. “The first half, we were trying but we couldn’t find a solution.

“That’s usually where the talent comes in, I always believe you have to do something special and special teams come from confidence. So, you have to keep trying and when you do something good, it’s going to come more naturally.

“It was one good moment [for the goal] but I’m very sad, actually I’m very angry because I had two more chances that were very close that I could score but that’s life.”

Spurs haven’t exactly been at their best in recent weeks, despite picking up positive results before the defeat to Wolves.

Some would argue that a defeat was coming and Postecoglou’s men just weren’t at the races yesterday.

The Aussie will have plenty to work on over the next two weeks before Tottenham host Crystal Palace. While Kulusevski was angry with his finishing, he did produce a spectacular finish on Saturday.

Spurs didn’t exactly create enough clear-cut opportunities on the day either, with Wolves producing the better moments in the final third.
