The 20 year old starlet is available on loan from Manchester United and is being pursued by Burnley, West Ham, Everton, and Fulham.
Manchester United signed the Ivory Coast youngster in January 2021, but so far he has only appeared in nine games in all competitions because of several loan stints. Diallo’s second loan stint at Sunderland last season helped him finally find his footing after his first one at Rangers in the second half of the 2021–2022 season was mainly unsuccessful.
The teenage player was one of the best in the Championship in his lone season at the Stadium of Light, netting 13 goals for Sunderland as they built an unexpected promotion drive that would ultimately be defeated by Luton Town in the play-offs.
For his efforts, Adam received the PFA Championship and the Sunderland Young Player of the Year title.
Both the PFA Championship Player of the Month and Player of the Year awards in December.
Following his time at Sunderland, the teenager is back at Manchester United, but 90min has learned that a number of Premier League teams are interested in signing him on a season-long loan ahead of the 2023–24 season. One such team is Burnley, who recently secured their spot in the top tier after winning the Championship League title in spectacular fashion last season by accruing more than 100 points.
Sunderland has also expressed interest, though a return to the club is doubtful given the Black Cats’ failure to secure Premier League promotion. Everton, West Ham United, and Fulham have also expressed interest.
According to sources who spoke to 90min, the interested clubs won’t likely find out whether Diallo is moving out on loan once more until after pre-season. Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, wants to observe the player during preseason before deciding on his near-term future.
