In their first season back in the Championship, Sheffield Wednesday will compete in ten Yorkshire derbies, including their first visit to Leeds United since 2020.
The Owls are back in the second division, and even though they don’t currently have a manager or many senior players, there is still some anticipation developing for the 2023–24 season, during which they will visit some of the largest and most storied stadiums in the nation.
Wednesday’s season kicks off at home against Southampton on August 4 and ends away at Sunderland on May 4 of the following year. In between, they play a variety of former Premier League teams up and down the country.
Although they only faced Barnsley last season, numerous Yorkshire derbies are back in the new season. There won’t be much of a wait until they begin, with three taking place in the first two months of the campaign.
