Just In Report: Burnley to sign Star player fee of €6-7m, As Kompany Seriously In Negotiation With Club, As Set For Medical

Just a few days ago, it was claimed that Burnley were still in the race to sign David Okereke from Cremonese, recently

relegated to Serie B.

The Italian club know it will be hard to keep the striker in their squad next season, and have already resigned themselves to
the fact he will leave, as explained by TuttoMercatoWeb on Monday.

They mention Burnley in the article as one of the two named sides reportedly after the 25-year-old, as Vincent Kompany

looks to bolster his attack this summer.

The arrival of Zeki Amdouni will certainly do that, and the Clarets are said to be paying €18m for the FC Basel striker.

However, Kompany could also add another forward, which is where Okereke would come in, and would be far cheaper, too.

The one issue Burnley, or Besiktas (also interested), will face, though, is that Cremonese first want to focus on ‘reinforcing

their squad’ for an immediate return to Serie A.

Therefore, ‘it will still take some time before the eventual sale’ of Okereke, whom they value at around €6-7m.

This means that ‘further developments are expected in the coming weeks’ once the Serie B side have completed ‘a few

signings’.
