Just in: LFC Premier League striker rated £120 million lists three Manchester United players who he grew up admiring

As a childhood Red Devils fan, highly regarded Brighton striker Evan Ferguson has spoken up about three previous Manchester United players who inspired him.

Ferguson has apparently received an incredible £120 million price tag from Brighton, despite being strongly linked to both Liverpool and United.

Ferguson, who is regarded as Harry Kane’s successor at Tottenham, has shown promise while playing for Brighton and is expected to make a significant Premier League transfer in the near future.

However, after recently agreeing to a new contract with the Seagulls, the 19-year-old Brighton sensation delivered a serious blow to Premier League teams like United.

Ferguson, who has made 11 Premier League appearances this season and scored five goals, is currently bound to Brighton through 2029.

Ferguson on the three United players who caught his eye
Ferguson has now openly discussed his childhood Red Devils fandom. Growing up, Ferguson looked up to United icon Wayne Rooney.

The Republic of Ireland international acknowledged that he has always been impressed by United’s selection of strikers in an interview with Chris Sutton for The Daily Mail.

Danny Welbeck, who is currently Rooney’s Brighton colleague, and United cult legend Dimitar Berbatov were also singled out by Ferguson.

When I was younger, I was a Manchester United fan. In addition to Danny Welbeck, you have the Rooneys and the Berbatovs,” he remarked.

“They’ve had success with the striker for a long time.”

Ferguson and United discuss his future
Ferguson’s new contract was welcomed by Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, who expressed his excitement, stating that the striker for the Seagulls had a “very big future ahead of him.”

Ferguson will now remain at the Amex and carry on his outstanding growth at Brighton, where he is being closely watched by the premier league’s top teams.

Ferguson is only 19 years old, so it’s possible that United will show interest in him again in the future and that a move to Old Trafford will happen.

The Republic of Ireland striker asserted, nonetheless, that because of his exposure to social media, he has not been phased by the rumors surrounding his future.

“I believe so, as I experienced it at the young age of 14.” When someone else is discussed on social media, you can see it all,” Ferguson remarked.

However, that was the first time I had experienced it—being the talk of the town all of a sudden. After that, school was kind of strange.
