JUST IN: ‘ONE OF THE BEST’: LEEDS UNITED FANS WILL LOVE WHAT 32 YEAR OLD LEGEND HAS POSTED ON….

The duo played alongside each other at Leeds United, including having a memorable, but equally nightmare, first season

under Marcelo Bielsa that saw them reach the play-off semi-finals, before it all ended in heartbreak.

Whilst Pontus Jansson abruptly headed for the exit door and joined Brentford, Pablo Hernandez would become one of many

Elland Road heroes by guiding the club back to the promised land after over a decade in the wilderness during the following

season.

The 38-year-old’s name is engraved in the legend books of the famous Yorkshire club and Jansson, upon hearing that his

former teammate is set to hang up his boots, posted on his Instagram story that Hernandez is ‘one of the nicest’ people he

has worked with during his career.

A player of exquisite touch, vision, magic and outstanding close control, when the Spanish star had the ball, he had the

Leeds faithful off their seat.

That’s why he was such a popular figure with the fans and those who he played alongside, as Leeds fans will love Jansson’s

message to the now-retired star.

“Happy retirement, Pablo,” wrote Jansson. “One of the best and one of the nicest persons during my career! Lots of love to

you and your family.”

Leeds have to do it all again…

It wouldn’t be a surprise if many Leeds fans think that all the hard work they did under Bielsa, to get back to the Premier

League, has now been washed down the drain during the past 12 months.

The recently-concluded Premier League campaign was a nightmare beyond comprehension, as Leeds, now under new

ownership of the 49ers and the stewardship of Daniel Farke, are tasked with trying to lift morale and get the club back up.

That magic Bielsa dusted upon Leeds needs to be found again. A number of players that played alongside Hernandez, such

as Luke Ayling, Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper and Jack Harrison, to name a few, are still there and they need to get the club

back to the promised land.
