Liverpool completed the signing of Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig and now reports indicate they have moved in to lure
another player from the German club.
The star in discussion is central defender, Josko Gvardiol, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City.
News – Liverpool reach £51.5million, £17million more would agree fee for signing – Report
A few days back, The Guardian, Fabrizio Romano, revealed that the Sky Blues have agreed a fee with the Bundesliga side to
hire the Croatian international this summer.
However, later, Lepzig’s sporting director, Max Eberl, confirmed:
“There is no agreement with Manchester City. Not even close,”
As per The Mirror, the Cityzens have been handed a two-week deadline to complete the signing of the 21-year-old, who was
arguably the best defender at the FIFA World Cup last year.
Last night, Spanish source, Fichajes, claimed the Premier League is preparing for an exciting battle over the transfer of
Gvardiol.
The media outlet mention the Merseysiders are one of the English sides taking advantage of the current impasse between
City and Leipzig.
It is reported that Liverpool have submitted an offer to try to steal the signing of the youngster, who is valued at around
£86million (100 million euros).
Guardiola’s team are still in pole position but even Manchester United and Chelsea are pressing to secure the star from
Germany.
Josko Gvardiol is a massive Liverpool fan. Earlier this year, the defender stated (RTL Danas via (The Mail):
“My dream club? That would definitely be Liverpool. Since I was little, I watched a lot of their matches with my dad.”
Jurgen Klopp needs to improve his backline after a dismal last campaign. He has been interested in Gvardiol but I doubt the
club can meet the asking fee of £86million to sign him. What do you think?

LIVERPOOL ‘SPEEDING THINGS UP’ FOR ‘INCREDIBLE’ MIDFIELDER – JOURNALIST
Rudy Galetti has reported on Twitter that Liverpool are advancing in their pursuit of Southampton defensive
midfielder Romeo Lavia.
The Italian journalist has claimed that after their second bid for the Belgium international, Liverpool are pushing hard for
the 19-year-old.
Galetti has added that Chelsea are keen on Lavia as well, but the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League
winners are not actively in talks with the Saints over the youngster, who has been described as “incredible” by Manchester
City manager Pep Guardiola in the past.
Lavia has made 29 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The teenager has scored one goal in those games.
Liverpool should push on with Romeo Lavia pursuit
In our opinion, Liverpool should try to get a deal done with Southampton for Romeo Lavia as soon as possible.
The Merseyside club need to increase their offer for the teenager if they are to secure his services quickly.
First of all, the new Premier League season will start soon.
If Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to have all of his squad in place by then, then the club’s bosses need to get him
Lavia in the coming days.
Klopp needs to be given time to work with Lavia before the new season Strats.
Secondly, Chelsea seem to be keen on the 19-year-old as well.
Liverpool will surely not want to get involved in a bidding war.
After all, it will only drive up the price for Lavia.
Liverpool will be determined to finish in the top four of the Premier League table next season as well as potentially challenge
for the title.

LIVERPOOL ON THE VERGE OF SIGNING ROMEO LAVIA
ROMEO LAVIA TRANSFER SAGA CONTINUES
The latest developments in the ongoing transfer saga involving Romeo Lavia are seemingly pointing to a positive outcome
for Liverpool fans. As shared by Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, conversations between Liverpool and Southampton are
proceeding amicably as both parties negotiate the terms for the prospective transfer of Lavia.
With the Merseyside club having tabled two offers for the 19-year-old midfielder this week, anticipation is rife that a final
agreement is on the horizon. Despite an initial £37 million bid being rebuffed by the Saints, a subsequent offer of £45
million inclusive of performance-related add-ons has seemingly kick-started progressive discussions.
A POSSIBLE TURNING POINT IN THE NEGOTIATIONS
Taking to his Twitter account, Tavolieri sought to mollify the nerves of the Liverpool faithful, reporting:
“As far as I know, there’s no need to worry for Romeo Lavia’s to Liverpool. Reds were busy to close the Fabinho’s
deal today and every part involved were waiting for this deal to be done before a new movement after yesterday
morning verbal bid around £45m deal, bonus included. Things are taking their time but there’s a confidence – as
from #LFC than at #SaintsFC – a deal would be done.”
His tweet indicates that Liverpool’s activity on the transfer front, particularly with regards to wrapping up Fabinho’s deal,
might have contributed to the pace of progress in Lavia’s negotiations. Nevertheless, there’s a palpable sense of optimism
that the deal for Lavia will eventually be completed.
As it stands, the journey of Romeo Lavia from St. Mary’s Stadium to Anfield appears to be gaining momentum. Liverpool’s
intent to bolster their midfield with this promising talent shows the Reds’ determination to maintain their competitive edge
in the Premier League.
