Tuning up for the fast-approaching 2023-24 campaign, Liverpool conclude their German training camp on Monday, when

they meet Bavarian side Greuther Furth in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

In addition to injuries for first-choice goalkeeper Alisson (finger) and playmaker Thiago Alcantara (hip), the Reds will

again be without engine-room duo Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, both of whom could seal moves to Saudia Arabia in

the coming days.

By way of compensation, though, recent Under-21 European champions Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones joined Jurgen

Klopp‘s squad in the Black Forest at the end of the week, after missing a 4-2 win over Karlsruher SC.

Trent Alexander-Arnold started in a central trio for Wednesday’s pre-season opener, and the England international is

likely to join summer signings Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai on Monday afternoon.

Last season’s top scorer Mohamed Salah started in a strong attacking triumvirate alongside Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez,

but Diogo Jota scored a late double to push his claims for a place against Furth, and Cody Gakpo could also be promoted

to the lineup.

Minutes will again be given to fringe players such as Ben Doak and his fellow teenager Bobby Clark – both of whom

played half the match against Karlsruher – while either Vitezslav Jaros or Caoimhin Kelleher deputises for Alisson in

goal.

Aiming to seize their chance to impress Klopp before Liverpool head to Singapore, striker Lewis Koumas – who netted 16

goals at Under-19 level last term and featured in the UEFA Youth League – and midfielder James McConnell may also be

involved at some stage.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Kelleher; Gomez, Konate, Matip, Tsimikas; Alexander-Arnold, Mac Allister,

Szoboszlai; Salah, Gakpo, Jota
