Just In: David Seaman predicts score in Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest…

Having failed to win in the previous two matches, three more points would be very welcome at Anfield this weekend.

And according to former England goalkeeper David Seaman, that’s exactly what Liverpool are going to get.

Speaking on his Seaman Says podcast, the 60-year-old predicts a comfortable 3-0 win for the Reds.

No justification given or needed from Seaman, fingers crossed it’s as routine as the pundit expects.

Liverpool backed for big win

Liverpool made pretty hard work of it last time Forest came to Anfield. The Reds were pegged back twice before eventually winning 3-2 back in April.

This time around, Liverpool are a slightly different beast.

Buoyed by seven wins from seven in all competitions at Anfield this season, the Reds will be expecting another one on Sunday.

Given that they’ve scored three or more in five of those victories, Seaman is right to be bullish about their chances.

But Forest won’t, and shouldn’t be written off completely.

They really gave Liverpool a good game six months ago and beat them in the return game at the City Ground.

They are without a win in six Premier League games though, surrendering a two goal lead in the final minutes against Luton last weekend.

Steve Cooper’s side’s last win did come away at Chelsea, though. So they do have form for upsetting the Premier League’s ‘big six.’

Winning at Stamford Bridge and winning at Anfield are different things these days, though.

Having spent five years as an employee of Liverpool, Cooper will well know that.

Perhaps he’ll see the fact that his old club played last night as a possible chink in their armour.

But with key players like Virgil van Dijk, Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz rested completely, he may not get far with that either.

There’s always the chance of a shock in this division, but anything other than a Liverpool win on Sunday would be a big one.
