Darwin Nunez and Trent Alexander-Arnold will be on the bench as Liverpool look to extend their 19-game unbeaten run at Tottenham Hotspur this evening.

Alexander-Arnold returns to the matchday squad having missed the last four games with a hamstring problem.

But Jurgen Klopp has kept the vice-captain on the bench with Joe Gomez maintaining his place at right-back after an impressive showing against West Ham United last weekend.

Nunez, who scored Liverpool’s second goal against the Hammers, is also among the substitutes after Klopp admitted he was carrying a slight knee injury from international duty. though the Uruguayan should be fine to emerge from the bench.

Cody Gakpo, goalscorer in midweek at home to Leicester City in the League Cup, is leading the line with Mohamed Salah on the right wing and Luis Diaz on the left.

Alisson Becker is in goal, while Joel Matip has been preferred to Ibrahima Konate at centre-back alongside skipper Virgil van Dijk. Andy Robertson is at left-back.

In midfield, Alexis Mac Allister remains the number six with Curtis Jones to his left and Dominik Szoboszlai his right.
