Chelsea are keen on signing 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder Andre who is also on the radar of Liverpool.
According to the Record via SportWitness, Chelsea are interested in the services of Brazilian sensation Andre and are planning to push for his signatures. The Blues
are looking to sign the 22-year-old midfielder and loan him out to Portuguese club Sporting CP.
While the Blues are keen on acquiring his services, they face a major hurdle in Liverpool. The Merseyside club are keen on signing a new defensive midfielder
because of the departure of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. And, they have already submitted a bid according to a report by ESPN.
has gone from strength to strength over the past few seasons. He has come up the ranks at Fluminense and managed to establish himself as a first-team regular. He
is a guaranteed starter in the Brazilian club and a very important part of their first team. As a result, they are not going to let him leave on the cheap.
As per ESPN, the Brazilian club will make a decision regarding his future next week. They will let him leave only if they fail to progress in the CONMEBOL
Libertadores. If Fluminense fail to go past Argentinos Juniors in their return fixture in the round of 16, they will let the 22-year-old leave.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have already approached the Brazilian club with an offer worth €25 million. The Merseyside club are in desperate need of a new defensive-
minded midfielder and they are ready to go all out to land the Brazilian international. The Reds are prepared to go up to €30 million to sign Andre.
While their priority was to sign Romeo Lavia from Southampton, they have failed to strike a deal with the Saints. The Negotiations have reached a standstill and as a
result, they are pushing hard for the 22-year-old who is still on the radar of Chelsea.
While the Blues are also in need of a new defensive midfielder, their objective of signing Andre is different from that of Liverpool. The Reds want him to be a part of
their first team while the Blues are looking to loan him out to Sporting.
The Portuguese are desperate to have the Brazilian sensation in their ranks but they can’t afford to meet the asking price. As a result, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly
who has a great relationship with the club wants to help them out. Eventually, Andre could return to the London club and be a part of their first team given the
amount of potential he has. With Chelsea and Liverpool ready to battle it out, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

Liverpool target Levi Colwill extends stay at Chelsea
Liverpool’s pursuit of Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has hit a definitive roadblock, as the young talent has committed his future to the London club. The dream of
seeing Colwill don the Liverpool jersey has faded with his decision to sign a substantial six-year contract, accompanied by the potential for an additional seventh
year.
Chelsea made the news official via their social media channels after the post on their website. The Reds had cast their eyes on Colwill’s promising abilities at the
onset of the transfer window. ECHO noted Liverpool’s interest in Colwill back in May. Brighton also harboured hopes of securing his return following a successful
loan spell.
Chelsea’s strategic move to secure Colwill’s services until 2029 (Transfermarkt) has added a layer of certainty as they gear up to face Liverpool on the Premier
League’s opening day. This development effectively closes the door on any immediate prospect of Colwill bolstering Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
The setback forces Liverpool to recalibrate their defensive strategies. While Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate stand tall as the first-choice centre-back pairing,
the departure of Colwill from the potential equation necessitates the Reds to explore alternatives to fortify their defensive ranks.
No Colwill, No Party?
In addition to Van Dijk and Konate, Liverpool maintain a rotational reservoir of defensive talent. Joel Matip, Joe Gomez, and Nat Phillips form the rest of the depth
in the central defensive positions.
With the prospect of bringing the 20-year-old to Anfield now out of the picture, Liverpool will either have to turn to The Academy to find players or the transfer
market.
We do not have any other active transfer targets in the centre-back positions. Jarell Quansah has been mighty impressive for the Reds in the pre-season, and with
how things stand at the moment, he seems to be our last straw as additional depth in the backline.
