JUST IN: Burnley fee revealed as club accept bid lower than release clause for most wanted 24 year old star.

West Bromwich Albion have to sell players this summer in a bid to raise funds, with Burnley in for 24 year old star.

Under Vincent Kompany, Burnley dominated its second-tier competition and won promotion from the Championship with an incredible 101-point haul.

However, Turf Moor needs reinforcements more than ever now that several loan stars have returned to their parent clubs after achieving an immediate promotion to the Premier League.

One of them was Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who, after a season marred by injuries, returned to Manchester City at a time when Kompany was looking for a new center-back.

And based on the amount that was revealed by the Telegraph on Thursday afternoon, it appears that he has resorted to the Hawthorns to obtain investment in O’Shea, one of Carlos Corberan’s outstanding players.

What payment did West Brom receive for Dara O’Shea?
John Percy of The Telegraph reports that a £7 million fee has been agreed upon for O’Shea, who is attempting to return to the Premier League having appearing there for the Baggies in the 2020–21 season.

Despite being well behind the £17 million they received for Salomon Rondon in 2019–20 and Matheus Pereira in 2021, this would rank as West Brom’s tenth-highest fee in their career.

O’Shea had a release clause of £8 million, according to the source, but as Burnley was the only team interested, West Brom chose to accept the lower offer to help their financial condition. Although sales are still required, the transfer stabilized their financial situation for the time being and the fee is viewed as a “good” amount.

Who may West Bromwich Albion still be able to offload to make ends meet?
Of course, if other players at the Hawthorns are to advance, they must still be sold.

Their most valuable players are Josh Griffiths, one of England’s top young goalkeepers, Daryl Dike, Jed Wallace, John Swift, and the former trio of seasoned Championship players.
