Just in: Aaron Ramsdale feels he’s been hated by Mikel Arteta as he stated out the reasons in details

With his first action of the game, Aaron Ramsdale appeared to have vindicated Mikel Arteta’s decision to drop him as Arsenal faced West Ham in the Carabao Cup.

Aaron Ramsdale did himself no favors in the first 90 seconds against West Ham, according to Arsenal fans.

The England international has had a difficult start to the season, having lost his starting spot to summer signing David Raya. Boss Mikel Arteta appears to value the Spaniard’s ball-playing abilities, though he hasn’t been entirely convincing in goal.

Ramsdale was named in goal for Wednesday’s trip to the London Stadium for the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, giving him another chance to stake his claim – but it didn’t go well.

One Gooner wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Aaron Ramsdale’s first touch is to control the ball and smash it as far as possible, near no Arsenal players.” Not necessarily the best option, but a good indication of why he isn’t Arteta’s first choice!”

Another fan agreed, writing, “One minute into the game, you can already understand why Ramsdale doesn’t play anymore hahaha.”

“Ramsdale first hoof to nobody,” grumbled a third, and a fourth said, “Ramsdale hoofing the ball out for no reason LOOOOL.” And a fifth inquired, “What was Ramsdale’s kick?” Is he deliberately winding Arteta up?”

“Every week, I haven’t seen anything different,” Arteta said before the game. More determination, more desire to play; he has another opportunity, like many others, to continue doing what he has been doing.”

Unfortunately for Ramsdale, things did not improve in the first half. From a West Ham corner, Ben White nodded into his own net. The Gunners goalkeeper was being dragged back by Thomas Soucek, but with no VAR until the competition’s semi-finals, the goal stood.

After the break, the Hammers made it 2-0, with Mohammed Kudus cutting in on his left foot and finishing low into the bottom corner. And he was duped by a deflection as Jarrod Bowen made it three on the hour.
